LOOY design emerged during the material process of creating a watercolor …wetting the paper and dropping different colors of paint and watching as the forms naturally expand. Creative director Janis Provisor is often thinking about landscapes so you could say that the shapes are rock like in formation but also in designing terms, like a group of poofs on a ground cover. The smaller yellow forms are suggestive of commas that are there as punctuation. Janis and her creative partner, Brad Davis, have become quite enamored of this shaggy silk from Thailand both for its texture and luster. Thailand is known for the sumptuous color of its silks which informed the color choices of the shaggy motifs.
