Houndstooth Grey

Fort Street Studio is proud to introduce a new design into its series of 100% Thai Silk flat weave carpets – HOUNDSTOOTH. Principals and Creative Directors Janis Provisor and Brad Davis put their signature artistic spin on a classic houndstooth platform by mixing the timeless color combination of silver and navy with deeply-saturated charcoal grey, to bring unique vibrancy to the well-loved pattern.

These carpets are created in a village in Northern Thailand that grows the silk worms, harvests the cocoons, processes the silk threads and hand-spins the yarn. The yarns are custom dyed in small lots and hand-woven into luxurious carpets of up to 16’ x20’, after which they are washed and finished to the highest standard. Each has the luminosity, luster, and softness for which Thai silk is world famous. Because this product is unique to this one-village, vertically-integrated factory, and it is exclusive to Fort Street Studio designs, these carpets are only available in the most limited quantity of 1,500 square feet or about 12 pieces of 9’ x12’ per year.
