Design Inspiration
PAULETTE carpet design is inspired by an exuberant pink and blue sky in a Jean-Honoré Fragonard painting.
While the French Rococo painter inspired the shapes of the motif, the debut colorway of the rug design is a contemporary grey as in the water color art that preceded the weaving graph.
The rug is hand-knotted with hand processed High Altitiude Wool and Silk blended yarn. Like most Fort Street Studio rugs, the design is customizable in color, size and shape.
