Lombok Indigo Silver

For Fort Street Studio’s Co-Creative Directors Janis Provisor and Brad Davis, the drive to apply their artistic design aesthetic to innovative materials and weaving styles informed the creation of LOMBOK.

The process began with Davis working with expert artisans to select several natural colors of hand-processed, high-altitude Himalayan wool. They experimented with mixing different types of spinning widths in various ratios to get both fine and rugged textures. Davis then used digital photography to create original artistic designs that would make these unique weaving effects shine.

LOMBOK emphasized the irregular texture of different types of flatweave techniques in random horizontal stripes. The weaves alternate from a herringbone pattern to a fine checkerboard combination.
