Design Inspiration
The simple inspiration for LODI is the dappled reflection on water. The “reflection motifs” are laid out in an asymmetrical arrangement that is denser on one end. This silk flat-weave combines three different weaving styles to distinguish the motifs from the field of the rug. While the piece is woven in our special mill in Thailand the name is from the Lodi Gardens in New Delhi where reflective pools and ponds inspired the design.
