Design Inspiration
CELLESTE carpet design was conceived by artist Janis Provisor employing a free hand drawing of what she thought of as “cells” and how many trillions exist in the human body. For her, the drawn cells came together to shape a form or figure in the landscape. The motfs in the rug are accentuated by knotting them with all silk yarn in raised cut pile.
The design is hand-knotted with hand processed Himalayan Wool and fine Silk and customizable in color, size and shape.
